Tilley Expanded Metal is a very versatile product. Lighter per cubic metre and stronger per kg than the sheet of metal from which it is made.

With Tilley expanded metal there is no interweaving, interslotting, brazing or welding.  This means that even when cut into irregular shapes and left unframed, there is nothing to work loose or fray either through vibration or as a consequence of heavy impact.  With no welds or interwoven strands, Tilley expanded metal also shows excellent corrosion resistance.

The knuckles formed by the cutting and expanding process support weight and withstand stress better than joints or welds.

Used as the sides or as inserts in containers it allows air circulation without compromising strength or security.

Suitable for security screens, machinery guarding, decorative panels, benches, gratings, non-slip surfaces, reinforcing, racks and many other uses.

Aluminium

Suitable for architectural features, grilles, racks, non-slip surfaces, animal cages, privacy screens and many other applications.

LWD x SWD 6 x 3 to 50 x 24
Thickness – 0.7mm to 3.0mm
Strand width – 0.8mm to 4.3mm

Stainless Steel

Used in all the above applications and for many more uses where corrosion resistant materials are required.

LWD x SWD 30 x 12 and 40 x 18
Thickness – 1.2mm
Strand width – 1.6mm to 2.0mm

Pre-Galv

Pre-galv sheets can be used where surface protection is required. For more arduous applications consider using fully galvanised or stainless steel.

Thickness – 1.2mm and 1.6mm
Strand width – 2.2mm and 3.0mm
